GENERAL INFO
The bust-monument of Gotse Delchev is located in the central part of the "Knyaz Boris' Garden" park, declared a reserve of garden and park art (SG No. 96 of 1988). Part of the so-called "Alley of Notable Bulgarians" (No. 36). It was completed together with the adjacent bust-monument of Dame Gruev on the occasion of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising (1903) by decision of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the BKP No. 347/ 15.04.1982 Gotse Nikolov Delchev (1872-1903 ) – ideologue and leader of VMORO. A professional revolutionary. Together with Gyorche Petrov, he drew up the statutes of the organization (1896). Killed in a skirmish with a Turkish unit. Encyclopedia A-Ya, S., BAS, 1974.
