GENERAL INFO
The monument of Nikola Vaptsarov is a cultural monument of national importance, located in the center of the city of Bansko. Nikola Vaptsarov (1909 -1942) an anti-fascist poet, whose work gives him a place among the most popular poets of the 20th century. His poems have been translated into over 50 languages. Vaptsarov is the only Bulgarian awarded the International Peace Prize in 1952.
